A former Director of Business Development at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Development Director at FACT, I have worked independently since 2004 both
regionally, nationally and internationally
carrying out evaluation and research
programmes as well as organisational
development consultancy.
I have a Doctorate from Middlesex University and was Head of Management at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts from 1994 -2001. I then led the MA Cultural Leadership at Liverpool John Moores University (2002 -2009) and chaired the Steering Group for the research programme into Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008.
I am an accredited coach and Action Learning Facilitator (ILM). I provide training and facilitation and have extensive
experience in these areas.
In 2017 I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship and travelled across the USA and Australia researching support structures for freelance creatives.
I was a Failspace Champion for the AHRC funded Failspace Research Project.
I am an Honorary Life Member of People Dancing - an award made to 30 people who have made an exceptional contribution to community dance and People Dancing since 1986.
I live in Sunderland in the beautiful North East and am a mother of two daughters, an intrepid traveller who loves exploring new places. My creative life includes being a
passionate photographer, a developing cellist and a writer.
